Anyone else having issues with Yahoo Mail?

So, I'm currently having issues with Yahoo mail. I can't send or receive emails. I realized this while on Facebook. I keep my email and Facebook open most of the time because the Facebook group I'm a part of post constant updates and I receive email notifications as well. I noticed I was getting Facebook notifications, however the email notifications weren't appearing. Usually they appear a few seconds after a Facebook post has been made. I also sent a test email to myself using a gmail account. As you can imagine, I didn't get that either. Is anyone else having an issue? Are my undelivered emails lost for good? I tried checking mail on my laptop, tablet, and 2nd gen Ipod touch and still, nothing. I can send mail using my Ipod touch, sent an email to myself with it, the ipod searched for mail and updated, but the email I sent to myself wasn't there.

I recently ordered something online that is very important to me and a little hard to find for a good price, using my yahoo email address. It was back ordered, so I need my email account working in order to receive updates regarding that purchase. Everything important is tied to that email account. I've had it since 2005. My entire history with a special online friend is tied to that email account. So is my student loan stuff, bank stuff, passwords to all the places I shop online, etc.. This is my primary email account.

Is there anyway I can back up the emails I saved while at the same time keep them online? Yahoo mail just keeps getting worse and worse. I painstakingly copied and pasted my friend and I's IM chat history to Google Docs a few months ago. I suggest you all do the same if you have important chat conversations in Yahoo. It won't be too long until Yahoo Mail is a thing of the past, much like Internet Explorer.

This is so frustrating! I can't be the only one having an issue!

Glad it's not just me. Thanks for looking into the issue! Yahoo appears to be somewhat functioning now, but I didn't get all of my lost emails back, only some. I got only one of my test emails and none of my facebook notifications.

I had a problem with Yahoo last year, the mail was down for an entire weekend; I tried phoning their corporate HQ but all I got was an American "busy" signal which indicated that everyone in the entire world was trying to contact them; I did manage to get Yahoo Answers, it was full of people asking "Help help my mail isn't working!"; there was only one answer; some joker had posted that the entire internet was down, it was the end of civilisation as we knew it, and it ended "What's that noise? Oh shit, the zombies have got in! No, no! Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!"
