Lost another great one

Postby BogDog » Sat Sep 14, 2019 1:19 am

The music gets quieter and quieter every day. Bowie....then Petty.........Now Eddie Money. Saw him live in 1980 when he stole the show from headliner, Heart, one of my favorite bands. If you know the group Heart, then you know that's no easy task.

In honor of the music man, I offer a link to this clip. It's the song he both OPENED and CLOSED his show with at the California State Fair in Sacramento. Rest In Peace, and thanks for the smiles.

Hey, everybody? ...................Rock and roll the place, will ya? 8-)

Sigh*

And yet another only days later. Man, I feel old. Well, I AM, but.....

Ric Ocasek, lead singer for The Cars just passed at 75. Sometimes I forget how much time has passed. :?

Their other singer, Benjamin Orr, passed away in 2000. Guess the Cars are gone forever as well. Peace to all.

I'm an Eddie Money fan. Saw him around Nashville a couple of times and watched him perform in DisneyWorld with most of his kids on the stage with him. He was a nice guy with his share of demons that he never completely shook. Liked his music and the way he never took himself too seriously.

I am a Cars fan as well and Rick Ocasik was pretty much the band. There was a pretty smart guy who put a lot of value in beautiful women as well as music. I saw Paulina once at Sak's Fifth Ave. in Boca Raton in 1988, She was just shopping. There were a lot of guys among the ladies apparel departments trying not to be noticed while noticing her. There were a lot of pretty ladies in the world but she was fraking heart-stopping. Looks like he had 28 years with her.

The music lives on. And Keith Richards.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Keith will go down in history as the first to learn that heroin, when administered in the proper doses (hits?) is a youth serum

Mixing his father’s cremated ashes with cocaine did the trick. The grim reaper looks under his bead at night for Keith.
