Quicksand Fans

I haven't heard from pete bogg in a while. I'm a fan of his comics and wondering if he's still making more.

anyone know where I can bye his work? can anyone share some of his work I might not have seen?

First of all, there's a typo in your post. It's not "bye", a term used to denote farewells, but "buy", a term synonymous with purchase.

Second, this is a request and should, thus, be in the request forum, not the general discussion forum.

Third, you should check the Nuggets or Drawings forum for original or forgotten artwork, as they may be posted in there.

Fourth, keep topics in the General Discussion forum within the realms of intellectual pursuits pertaining to the sinking/quicksand fetish. For example, instead of asking for Pete Boggs artwork, you could discuss your favorite Pete Boggs quicksand-related images.

Pete is alive and well. As much as I and others have encouraged him to participate here and at Deep Sinking, it just hasn't happened. The gist of his feelings about quicksand material are reported to be a result of one or more business arrangements going sour. That's all I can say about that.

I posted a couple of his stories at Deep Sinking. I don't know if they're still there, but you can check.

Every time I have mentioned to him the possibility of marketing/distributing/sharing his stuff, he has told me to place it wherever I like. So I may post some more of his stuff here (after the shooting season has ended).

The last of your questions should constitute a fresh topic in the 'Requests' forum.

The Yahoo Group "perilmania" sometimes posts some of his work too. You have to join, though, and allow e-mails with attachments. Pete did a lot of "Sylla" comics for the group owner, Kaol. These surface occasionally. Asking for things over there tends not to get much response, though. Hanging out patiently works best.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound condescending, but I was irked from a combination of work ("gimme discounts and free merchandise!") and telemarketers/collectors ("gimme all your LOOT!!!!"). I shouldn't have retaliated in such a way, and I apologize. I was just merely nudging a member in the right direction before a more sadistic member of our group assaults said member (does the Shaun topic in MPV's forum ring any bells?).

Let's just worry about that if and when it happens. Right now you're inserting the other foot as well. Should anyone feel as though there is a problem with anything you can always drop the moderators a note. It's our job and we do it out of love for all of you.
