HNNG, so excited! I might finally sink! Help me plan...

Well, I have been on pins and needles the last few days as the thoughts of sinking have been in the back of my mind. I found a relatively accessible clay lakebed, exposed by drought, in a public park. Plan is to go there after sundown.
First question... how hard is it to clean clay off. I read the best thing is to scrape off the thick wet stuff with your hands, using available water (there is some lake available but the area around it is somewhat sinky. After scraping off the thick clay, let the thin layer remaining dry.. then get dressed and go home to shower. 1) will the clay really come off in the shower at home, or remain a permanent fixture on my skin? I heard it's pretty sticky!! 2) if i have scraped off all but a thin layer of clay from the waist down, will it clog my plumbing at home? When does shower / bath become a bad idea?
More questions as I think of them... hopefully I don't chicken out, I have been waiting my whole life for this.

theres always a car wash hose before you get to the house...or a garden hose AT the house before you shower...

You should be able to "squeegee" most of it off yourself with your hands leaving a thin layer on your skin. Easiest way to get rid of the rest is go for a swim if that's possible. Try to find an access point at the pond where you can get to the water and out again without getting dirty.
If you're driving bring extra towels and put them over your car seat. If the clay gets on your interior it will dry and then the dust will transfer to whatever you wear the next time you sit down in there haha....
Try to get as much off as possible before getting in the shower. If you can use the garden hose outside without making a scene do so. The less clay that goes into your plumbing system the better.

Yes, get as much clay off of you as possible before leaving. Too much mud/clay CAN clog plumbing, so do the best you can.
If you can't go for a swim or hose yourself off after your sink, you may want to bring water with you instead, maybe in a gallon jug. If you're hairy, expect clumps that hold on for dear life.
I would recommend trash bags over seats instead of towels.
Also, remember to keep clothing to a minimum. No shoes, shorts over pants, etc. Shoes create suction and the more clothing you wear, the more you're going to take with you when leaving.

I'm thinking of wearing tights or something. Will that solve the problem of clay clinging on my skin? Or will it soak through the tights?
Oh man I... butterflies in my stomache! I hope it works out for me.

I can imagine the report now in my head!! Now I just have to make it reality.
Has to be tomorrow (Friday) night, because after that, the weather turns bad.
The cleanup still has me worried. While I would LOVE to sink naked, I don't think I will have access to a hose, and in order to swim, I'll have to exit through the sinky clay. I would like to try sinking in tights or panty hose or leggings that will fit tightly to me. Then when I'm done I can slip off the tights into a trash bag when I'm done. Is this a mistake, or is this a workable idea?? I do not plan on going really deep.. maybe waist deep, at the most.
The other factor is, I'm going at night, and this park is outside of the city and will be extremely dark.. I'll bring a flashlight, but I imagine I will still be creeped out. But hey.. got to tell myself it will be worth it!

I would advise wearing as little clothing as possible lol....anything you wear into the mud will take a ridiculous amount of rinsing to come clean again. As with the plumbing in your shower you DO NOT want to introduce any major amount of clay to your washing machine. I usually wear a pair of cheap boxers for modesty and throw them away when I get home, it's literally that much of a pain in the ass to clean them.

I'm just going to slip off the muddy tights in a trash bag and drop them in a dumpster. I don't plan on salvaging these clothes!
T-minus 3 hours or so...
