Howdy...I just moved to a podunk town on the east coast of Florida...its almost directly east of Okeechobee, and north of West Palm Beach. I want to find a good sinking spot, preferably a quarry, that doesnt involve being seen, shot at, or alligators. I dont mind driving a little to get there. Any recommendations, my Comrades of the Quicksand?

Go to the retention pond behind the woods at Horseshoe Lake in Ocala to find bottomless peat muck.

Try Google Maps or similar service. I have not been there in years. It might be under water at the moment. Google "Horseshoe Lake Cabins" to find a site where you can reserve a cabin there. The pit is near the cabins.
