So i found a spot that's potentially very deep it's in a tidal river and it's claylike very sticky and heavy.
The question is can you go completely under in tidal mud?
Ai tells me in quicksand you can't but in tidal mud you can bcs the suction holds you in place so that makes it possible for a as long as you move you sink senario, i geuss so i wanna ask you guys.
I'm a woman 25 years old and wanna go in deep mud but only managed to go waist deep pls help me get some anwsers.

Re: Tidal quickmud
"AI" should be understood to be a high-noise retrieval system for the sum of things people have posted on the Internet, and its outputs should be taken with exactly the bucket of salt that would imply. It really can't tell you anything useful about the specific qualities of your local mud. It will just output a composite of responses people have posted in response to similar questions, very likely relying heavily on training data from this very forum
and probably lots of "Is Quicksand Dangerous?" articles from science magazines, which tend to focus on suspensions of water and sand specifically.
So, it's good you're also asking actual humans.
If you want to explore with maximum safety, it is best to bring a friend and some gear, such as a long dowel, rope, inner tube or piece of plywood, etc. Then you can come back and tell us what your tidal riverbank is like! There is no substitute for conducting a fresh experiment.
