Safety and not only
Today, I watched a show about animals. And there was a plot - Elk got stuck in the mud. Fortunately, he was rescued. But then, I had a question. And how can you protect yourself from such a fate? I mean, how can you assess the danger of a quagmire in advance? That it would just be a pleasant immersion in the mud, and not a deadly struggle with mud. And it would be fine if it was just about drowning. Not pleasant, but fast (joke). But you can get bogged down and then suffer for a week. How can this be avoided? Plus a couple of additional questions. Once I got out of the mud, I had to struggle - I slid back into the hole that had formed from me. There was nowhere to secure the rope. And more. How can I search for dive sites on maps? Or in any other way. And how can you determine in advance whether a place is crowded or not?

Wilderness survival 101: Tell someone where you're going, when you'll be back, and make sure they'll call in the calvary if you don't show up.

The advice is good. But if there is, someone to whom I am ready to open my fetish. And I think it's generally better to keep such things to yourself, as well as a lot of the like. And if you trust, then the closest person is your partner. And I... eh....still lonely. In addition, in any case, there is no opportunity to enjoy it yet, because there is no dive mark in the new place of residence, or has not yet found it. But still, as a guarantor of security, I always took my phone with me.

You don't have to tell them what you're doing exactly, just say you're going hiking or bird watching or something.

I guess this all depends on where you go and the situation - do you go out looking for mud or do you get caught by accident, if the latter then ideally I would suggest watching a safety video. If you go looking for muddy areas to dive into then either take someone with you or have a escape plan like using a rope latter that's anchored down.
