I have some tidal river mud in my area i have gone sinking before but only as deep as my hips are there deeper spots in tidal mud how does this feel?
I have heard stories where the suction can hold you down and you sink completely under

Yeah choose your location with care, the sloppier the mud the more chances of going deeper
