Hi,
I'm a long time admirer of this community, but this is my first time contributing.
I'm a male in my 30s based in the North West of England. I've decided I want to get involved both in this community and with exploring my sexual kinks.
My region is notorious for tidal mud flats. I've explored Google maps and began researching some potential sinking locations. I've found a mud location that could have good potential along a tidal river bank.
I am not naive to the dangers with tidal mud and am taking extreme caution to know the location. I've logged high tide markers and am getting to know the density of the mud in different locations. I will probably build up knowledge and skills in the shallows. This will likely be in the summer so I can enjoy with less clothing.
I just wanted to show my research with you to share my little corner of the world.
I've attached some photos of my find.
Cheers,
P

Re: English mud lover
Legit just joined out of curiosity and it's funny that this is one of the first posts I see. I'm from the North-West too.
Been interested in quicksand and mud for years but I've had very few opportunities to explore actual spots due to anxieties about not being about to get out and all that. I'm a bit of a noob I guess but I guess that's what happens when I discovered my fetish through uploads of various videos on YT ^^"

Re: English mud lover
Hi. Long time lurker first time poster here. I'm visiting the Blackpool area in November and would be interested in meeting someone for some muddy explorations together. I'm a man about 40 with a wide range of kinks, I've been active in my local BDSM scene since spring 2024, but have only ever done mud or WAM stuff solo before. I consider myself straight but I'm willing to explore kinks with any gender person.
I can drive, I can't host. Meeting up first in a pub/cafe/park/etc to see how we get on together is essential, and I would strongly prefer to meet with someone who likewise is involved in their local kink scene.
Reply or PM if you're interested.
(Note, my Fetlife handle is completely different to my forum nick here, so searching for ayria on Fet won't find me.)

Re: English mud lover
Hi,
I originally posted out of curiosity to see how many others are in the area.
I am, like others, very self-conscious about this secret fetish. I did pluck up the courage to tell my wife who doesn't understand and isn't encouraging of exploring the kink.
I have spent the summer doing some solo recon and testing. Here's what I've found out if anyone is interested and in the area. But, let's face it, with autumn coming in the weather won't allow anything else until next summer.
Crosby beach - lots of mud flats. Very popular beach. You would need to go at night but even then you may come across some delusional runner or teenage druggies.
River Mersey - there is a walk by Liverpool yacht club and by the runway of Liverpool airport. This is very quiet but can get an occasional dog walker. I enjoyed a waist deep sink and could have gone deeper if I was prepared. This is tidal.
Thursaston beach - there are some very deep muddy areas here but on quite a popular beach. Nighttime would be quieter but the tide is lethal if not checked.
The Wirral has lots of mud flats that have numerous news stories of people getting stuck.
Maybe I'll see you around.

Re: English mud lover
Yeah, fair point that the weather probably won't be the most comfortable in November.
From previous experience the west bank of the Wyre Estuary has some good mud. There's a path running from Fleetwood Marsh nature reserve south to Stanah and depending on the date and time, once you get away from the ends of the path there's not too many people. Can get onto the mudflats easily. It is exposed both to the elements and visually (tbh anything coastal is pretty open), tidal ofc so check the times, and cleanup options are pretty limited.
The mudflats on the east bank are nature reserves and a few years back there were warnings to stay on the path claiming it's monitored by cameras, so I haven't tried there. Because the high parts are relatively intact there, whereas on the west there's industry and stuff.

Hello to you all
I am also from the Northwest, Wigan to be precise.
30year old male.
I'd love to be able to explore sinking, but I have no experience and limited knowledge. It would be great to be able to become more involved in this!
PM me if anyone is interested!

Huh... first time I've checked this part of the forum board in a while.
Not sure I'd class Merseyside as the Northwest (only joking
) but rather interesting to hear of there being a fair few folks in the region ^_^
