Quicksand Fans

- - -another missed opportunity? There is this new show coming on the networks called, 'The Glades' ! Cops, crooks and hot looking babes in the middle of the Everglade Swamps! You would think with them dealing with murder, crime, corruption and all that, like a good cop show should present, I just think based on the location of this story, they would have to deal with the elements of their enviroment! Perhaps some mention about the glades, with it's soggyness, possible dealing with alligators and snakes, perhaps maybe Hollywood would mention about regions in the swamp that is not safe to stand! Dont they think that wont make good drama? Will they mention at all about those unstable regions at all? Who will encounter these places? The good guys, the badguys, the gals, both good or bad? Will Hollywood even have someone even throw a rock into that part of ground to show how dangerous and sensual it would be to the viewers. With all the episodes they plan to make on this new show - WILL ANYONE EVEN MENTION THE WORD 'QUICKSAND' AT ALL! OR BOG, OR MIRE, SINKHOLE, SOMETHING!!

Sorry, didnt mean to get upset! Just thought someone would write such a peril in the script!

As far as the opportunity, no. They might use quicksand as a convenient method of body disposal in the manner of all crime narratives but that's it. Possibly if it lasts a couple of seasons they will use it to extract a confession from a male killer but I'm doubtful.

Go ahead. Prove me wrong. Show me the limo full of strippers that gets dumped on the way from Miami to Key West and one by one they fall victim to everglades while running from snakes and 'gators.

Yeah, right.

Now, while we're on the subject of Florida, how about CSI: Miami? I don't think they've ever done a quicksand scene. They've had dozens of gruesome ways of killing people, but no quicksand. They've had water and swampy scenes, but that was almost always the guys.

I'd like to see Emily Proctors' character, Callie, end up in quicksand or deep mud. IMHO, I think she's a brat and I don't like her. She is cute, though.
