Hmm, cosplay is a huge area of interest.

Just Google Image search on 'cosplay' and you'll see loads of live gals dressed up in all manner of costumes.

I think a lot of the appeal has to do with the familiarity of the anime characters in question, although cosplay does also go into traditional themes (think French maids).

A specific character and some background information would be a good starting point, because there's too many to choose from without some prior inkling.

There is a lot of bad (low quality) cosplay out there, but I certainly would not object to good (high quality) cosplay in quicksand.

The cosplay pictures in your link include an anime face mask, I think those are kind of scary looking :o

Could you be a little more specific about what you are requesting?

I randomly googled "cosplay quicksand" and this thread was the first thing I saw. I too find cosplay very appealing. The thing is it's an expensive hobby depending on what type of costume you're making. And just messing it up would be umm bittersweet? One could dream though!

I lot (read:100 percent) depends on the actual fabric used to make a costume, but nearly everything I have used for costumes gets cleaned up and re-used. I have two faux fur cave girl outfits that have been used abut six times each.

I have been toying with the idea of doing some cosplay scenarios, as a lot of the models I work with really like that genre (getting dressed up, extreme makeup and hair, etc.). Ludella Hahn (my avatar) and Leila Hazlett will be shooting with me in a few weeks (and both enjoy costumes and acting and quicksand!).

In fact, I came across the outfit below that I just might purchase for a test video at my local marsh. It sort of struck my fancy - and I'm guessing some of you might like it, too.

I enjoy life when the "wheels of creation" are moving in my brain!

Wow nice choice, Michael! Feelin' a maid/Cardcaptor Sakura hybrid from that outfit :D White tights would go nice with it. Can't wait to see more work from you, especially when they involve costumes! =)
