The previous six weeks had been quite dry so Camp MPV and surrounding area has easily managed a week of rain. We have some good friends in East Tennessee that I haven't heard from but that's not surprising given the situation. It's definitely one hellacious awful mess to clean up. Just to illustrate, the Nolichucky dam, which is well over a hundred years old, had water running over the top of it at nearly double the rate of what pours over Niagara Falls. Miraculously it didn't fail. TVA had it's hands full managing a lot of water trying to get downhill in a big hurry in many places.
